Southern Theater Command Air Force Hospital (formerly PLA No. 458 Hospital) was established in 1952 and is located at No. 801 Dongfeng East Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou. The hospital covers an area of 94,213 square meters with 800 beds. It has evolved from the Central-South Air Force Second Hospital, Air Force 17th Hospital, Air Force Guangzhou Hospital, to PLA No. 458 Hospital. After more than 60 years of development, it has become a modern comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, healthcare, rehabilitation, and psychological services, with complete disciplines, advanced equipment, strong technical capabilities, and quality services.
