Editorial and Hospital Data Methodology
This page explains how ChinaMedGuide turns public hospital information into practical English-language records and guides without overstating what has been verified.
What the directory contains
ChinaMedGuide maintains hospital records gathered from public sources. The total record count is not the same as the number of verified or indexable profiles. Only records that pass the current content-quality checks are submitted as indexable hospital detail pages.
Sources and verification
We prioritize official hospital websites, government health authorities, public institutional notices, recognized clinical or academic directories, and direct confirmations where available. Third-party sources may be used to identify a lead, but important claims should be checked against a primary source before publication.
Hospital profile quality checks
A profile must have a usable English identity, city, substantive English description, and reviewed operational fields before it can be indexed. Suspected placeholder doctors, templated descriptions, stale project dates, and unsupported service claims are flagged for correction. English-service labels are treated as record-specific facts, not defaults for an entire hospital grade.
Shortlists and “best” guides
Shortlists are editorial resources, not paid rankings. Inclusion should be supported by stated criteria such as recognized specialty standing, hospital grade, relevant clinical focus, usable international-patient information, and the completeness of the underlying record. No list can determine the right hospital for an individual patient.
Updates and corrections
Hospital names, departments, contact routes, policies, prices, and language support can change. We date important guides, review high-visibility records first, and correct duplicate or ambiguous entities when stronger evidence becomes available. Readers can report a correction through the contact page.
Medical independence
ChinaMedGuide provides general educational and navigation information. We do not diagnose conditions, guarantee hospital acceptance, or replace licensed medical advice. A directory entry or editorial link is not an endorsement of a hospital, clinician, treatment, or external service.
