Shenzhen Bao'an District Family Planning Service Center (Shenzhen Bao'an District Family Planning Specialty Hospital) is a public institution invested and established by the Bao'an District Government, providing family planning services and medical services. Founded in 1985, it is the province's first county (district) level family planning specialty hospital. In 2003, it obtained the "Medical Institution Practice License" and "Maternal and Child Health Technical Service Practice License," serving as a clinical research base for the Ministry of Science and Technology's "Tenth Five-Year Plan" key project on eugenics and a designated medical unit of the Shenzhen Social Security Bureau. Currently operating under a "one team, two signs" system as both Family Planning Service Center and Family Planning Specialty Hospital. In December 2004, it was rated as a "Five-A" family planning technical service institution. In recent years, relying on scientific and technological progress strategies, the hospital has introduced numerous experts and technical backbones from across the country, significantly improving technical standards and service quality. The hospital's obstetrics department is equipped with the British Oxford fetal central monitoring system, implementing full-responsibility midwifery services, pioneering "infant swimming" in the district, and skillfully handling various high-risk pregnancies. The gynecology department excels in various uterine and adnexal surgeries, vaginal hysterectomy, vulvar and vaginal plastic surgery. In addition to completing all family planning technical procedures, the center actively develops quality services focusing on the "three major projects" of informed contraceptive choice, reproductive tract infection prevention and treatment, and birth defect intervention projects. In women's common disease screening and treatment, birth defect intervention projects and monitoring, and newborn common genetic disease screening, the hospital possesses strong professional technical capabilities and advanced medical equipment, serving as one of the undertaking units for the national "Tenth Five-Year Plan" key project "Clinical Trial Research on Key Technologies for Prenatal Screening of Common Birth Defects." Additionally, andrology is a characteristic specialty of the family planning specialty hospital, having obtained national-level technical patents. To better care for men's health, andrology medical staff frequently enter communities to provide free consultation services, hold male reproductive health knowledge lectures, and answer listener questions on Bao'an Radio's "Reproductive Health" hotline, greatly popularizing male reproductive health knowledge and raising male reproductive health awareness.
