Shanghai Post and Telecommunications Hospital was built in 1951 and is a national secondary Grade A comprehensive hospital, undertaking medical treatment, prevention and healthcare tasks for postal, telecommunications and mobile bureau employees in the city, and open to the whole society. It has successively won the titles of Satisfactory Hospital and Red Flag Unit in Shanghai Health System, and Municipal Civilized Unit in 1995-96 and 1997-98. The hospital headquarters is located in the city center with convenient transportation and clean and beautiful environment. It has over 300 beds, complete medical business departments, 10 first-level professional departments, 13 second-level professional groups, intensive care unit, coronary care unit, and cardiac BP monitoring consultation center.
