Its predecessor was Shanghai Hongkou District Second Hospital. Currently, the hospital covers an area of 6,800 square meters with a building area of 12,519 square meters; 200 approved beds; 380 staff members, including 16 with associate senior titles or above, 72 with intermediate titles, 6 with graduate degrees, and 72 with bachelor degrees among medical staff; annual average outpatient and emergency patients of over 300,000 and discharged patients of over 4,000. The hospital has over 30 clinical and medical technology departments and 2 clinical laboratories. It has been designated as Shanghai Metro Emergency Rescue Medical Hospital and Shanghai Charity Foundation Charity Medical Clinic, undertaking medical and healthcare tasks for nearly 1 million people in Quyang and neighboring communities.
