Shanghai Jiao Tong University Affiliated Ruijin Hospital Luwan Branch, formerly known as Luwan District Central Hospital, is a secondary comprehensive hospital. Its predecessor was Nanyang Hospital, the largest private hospital in Shanghai, founded in 1918. In October 1999, it partnered with Ruijin Hospital and was renamed. The hospital is located in central Shanghai with 400 approved beds and over 700 staff members. It is a teaching hospital of Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine and Bengbu Medical College. The hospital has departments including internal medicine, surgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, and other clinical and medical technology departments, with specialties in gastroenterology, respiratory, endocrinology, neurology, hematology, general surgery, orthopedics, pediatric orthopedics, urology, gynecology, pediatrics, and more. Since the partnership, the hospital has continuously improved its infrastructure and updated diagnostic equipment.
