Huadong Hospital, Fudan University, was established in 1951, with its predecessor being Hongen Hospital built in 1921. The hospital possesses five main medical buildings (East, South, West, North, and New Building) and over ten supporting buildings, with lush trees and an extremely elegant environment. Over more than half a century, through the hard work and struggle of several generations of "Huadong people," Huadong Hospital has developed into a tertiary Grade-A comprehensive hospital featuring geriatric medicine, integrating medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, and prevention, based in Shanghai and facing the world.
