Huangpu District Red Cross Hospital is located in Nangang Town, Huangpu District, the eastern gateway of Guangzhou, beside Guangshen Highway, between the eastern and western districts of Guangzhou Economic Development Zone, adjacent to Zengcheng and Dongguan. There are many factories and enterprises in the jurisdiction, and the medical service radiates to a population of nearly 100,000. The hospital was officially changed from Nangang Health Center to Huangpu District Red Cross Hospital on May 13, 1988, with the establishment of a district-level people's hospital. Over 12 years, the hospital's appearance has undergone tremendous changes. The hospital scale has developed, with staff increasing from over 70 in 1988 to 224 in 2002, including 13 senior professional and technical personnel and 42 intermediate professional and technical personnel.
