Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, was founded in 1907. It is a hospital affiliated with the National Health Commission, a teaching hospital affiliated with Fudan University, and a hospital named by the Chinese Red Cross. In 1992, it was the first to pass the national tertiary Grade-A hospital evaluation and is a National Civilized Unit. It is one of the most renowned and internationally characterized medical, teaching, and research centers in China, and the first public hospital affiliated with a ministry to pass JCI certification, enjoying a high reputation internationally.
