Guangdong Public Security Border Defense Corps Hospital (also known as Shenzhen Armed Police Border Defense Hospital) is the only formally established comprehensive military hospital in the national border defense forces and Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, integrating clinical medical treatment, preventive healthcare, rehabilitation and recuperation, and scientific research and teaching. It is also the only "digital hospital" in the national border defense forces and Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, responsible for medical security tasks for Guangdong border defense force officers and soldiers while also treating civilian patients from across the country. It is a major member of Shenzhen's social medical network and a designated unit for medical and work injury insurance by the Municipal Social Security Bureau. Founded in 1985, after nearly 20 years of development, the hospital has evolved into a modern military hospital with intensive technical talent, complete clinical disciplines, advanced equipment, high overall medical standards, and considerable reputation internationally. It is now a teaching hospital of the Third Military Medical University, a designated medical insurance hospital in Shenzhen, Shenzhen's "Blindness Prevention and Treatment Base," and a "120 Emergency Center" rescue substation. The hospital covers 80,000 square meters (building area 45,000 square meters, medical building area 39,500 square meters), with 500 total beds, 27 medical departments, over 40 specialties, three off-site outpatient departments, and two branch hospitals. It possesses an excellent expert team and domestically advanced modern medical equipment. The hospital currently has fixed assets of approximately 268 million yuan and medical equipment valued at approximately 160 million yuan; it employs over 400 professional technical personnel, 94 with senior technical titles, 27 doctors, and 49 masters; in recent years, it has completed over 30 medical research projects, with 3 reaching international advanced levels.
