Beijing University of Chinese Medicine Dongzhimen Hospital (First Clinical Medical College) was founded in 1958 and is affiliated with a national "211 Project," "985 Project Advantageous Discipline Innovation Platform," and "Double First-Class" construction higher traditional Chinese medicine university. Dongzhimen Hospital is a large comprehensive Grade III Class A traditional Chinese medicine hospital integrating medical treatment, teaching, and research. It is a national traditional Chinese medicine clinical research base, a national drug clinical trial institution certified by the State Food and Drug Administration, a WHO traditional Chinese medicine appropriate technology project training base, a national standardized residency training demonstration base, and a national demonstration traditional Chinese medicine hospital. The hospital currently has two districts and one department with multiple practice locations. The Dongcheng campus is located at No. 5 Haiyuncang, the Tongzhou campus at No. 116 Cuiping West Road, and the international department at No. 279 Dongsi North Street, Dongcheng District, with 1,574 approved beds, 40 clinical specialties, and nearly 3 million annual outpatient and emergency visits.
