Capital Medical University Affiliated Beijing Tongren Hospital was founded in 1886 and is a large comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital with ophthalmology and otolaryngology as national key disciplines. Today, the hospital is divided into Chongwenmen Campus and Yizhuang Campus. With the hospital's comprehensive strength as the main body and Beijing Institute of Ophthalmology, Beijing Institute of Otolaryngology, and Beijing Diabetes Research Institute as affiliated research institutions, it has formed a 'one hospital, three institutes' development pattern.
