Beijing First Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital is a tertiary Grade-A integrated TCM and Western medicine hospital operated by Chaoyang District Government, combining medical treatment, rehabilitation, teaching, preventive healthcare, and emergency services. The main campus is located in the core CBD area. The hospital's predecessor was the "Beiping Eastern Suburb People's Hospital" founded in 1936 by patriotic General Song Zheyuan. In 1997, it was designated as a Grade II-A comprehensive Western medicine hospital. After 80 years of development, the hospital has become the medical center for eastern Chaoyang District and earned the title of "National People's Trusted Model Hospital." In 2014, the hospital transformed into an integrated TCM and Western medicine hospital and was renamed Beijing First Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine Hospital, achieving tertiary Grade-A status in 2015. The hospital now operates five campuses (CBD Campus, Dongba Campus, TCM Campus, Geriatric Campus, and the upcoming Laiguangying Campus), covering 61,300 square meters with 32,600 square meters of building area and 1,513 beds. The hospital employs over 1,000 staff members, including more than 800 healthcare professionals and over 130 with master's degrees or higher. The Beijing Integrated TCM and Western Medicine Cardiac Rehabilitation Center serves as the hospital's second designation, led by renowned cardiovascular disease expert Professor Hu Dayi, integrating multidisciplinary service teams to create an integrated TCM and Western medicine cardiac rehabilitation "4S shop" model based on smart healthcare. The hospital offers comprehensive departments including 21 clinical departments such as cardiology, endocrinology, orthopedics and traumatology, neurology, respiratory medicine, surgery, nephrology, ophthalmology, pediatrics, and obstetrics and gynecology, along with 11 inpatient wards and 9 medical technology departments.
