Fangshan District Liangxiang Hospital was founded in 1949 and is located in the center of Liangxiang satellite city in Fangshan. It undertakes medical and healthcare tasks for nearly one million people in Fangshan District and surrounding areas. It is the largest tertiary comprehensive hospital in Fangshan District integrating medical treatment, teaching, research, prevention, healthcare and emergency rescue. It is also the regional medical center of Fangshan District, a Beijing medical insurance Class A hospital, and Beijing 120 Emergency Sub-center. It passed ISO9001 quality certification in 2004 and became a teaching hospital of Capital Medical University Liangxiang in 2009. The hospital currently covers an area of 50.76 acres with a total building area of 72,000 square meters, can handle daily outpatient visits of over 4,000, has 860 open beds, 1,942 staff members including 1,609 professional and technical personnel, 155 senior technical personnel, 5 doctoral students, and 92 master's students. Annual outpatient and emergency visits exceed 2 million, and discharged patients number 30,000.
