Beijing Chongwen District First People's Hospital was established in 1960, located at No. 130 Yongdingmen Outer Street. It is a secondary comprehensive hospital. Originally named Beijing Chongwen District Yongwai Hospital, it was renamed Beijing Red Cross Yongwai Hospital in 1993, and in 1995, according to the Medical Institution Management Regulations, it was named Chongwen District First People's Hospital. The hospital covers an area of 5,700 square meters with a building area of 10,062 square meters. In 1997, there were 375 employees, including 308 professional and technical personnel, 17 associate chief physicians and above, and 78 attending physicians. The average daily outpatient volume is 800 people. It has 150 beds and 25 clinical and medical technology departments. It is a clinical teaching practice base for Beijing University of Chinese Medicine School of Basic Medicine and a teaching practice hospital for Chongwen District Health School and Beijing Health Vocational School. The Chongwen District Dermatology and Venereology Prevention and Treatment Center and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Treatment Center are located in this hospital. The hospital has advanced medical equipment including whole-body CT scanner, hyperbaric oxygen chamber, hemodialysis room, color Doppler diagnostic instrument, transcranial Doppler diagnostic instrument, endoscope monitoring system, treadmill examination instrument, and CCU.
